Statewide Home Care Accreditation Board Elects New Members

NJ Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) adds new Chair and Trustees to Board

The New Jersey Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) recently elected five new trustees to its board. CAHC, a New Providence-based home care watchdog, monitors agencies throughout New Jersey to ensure consumers receive services that meet established guidelines and industry practices.

J. Anthony Manger of Lambertville serves as the Board Chair. Manger is a lawyer with Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, where he is chair of the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. Joining Manger on the Board are Thomas W. Tregoning, manager of financial planning and analysis at Loving Care Agency; Barbara A. Oliver, director of operations at Always There Home Health Care; David J. Allegra, CPA, CFP, president of Allegra and Company; and Mark Reisman, financial advisor at Merrill Lynch Global Weath Management.

The non-profit CAHC was founded in 1986 to protect home care consumers by holding agencies accountable for meeting organizational, personnel and clinical standards. Accreditation is awarded only to those agencies that demonstrate consistent compliance with those standards.

“Our Board reflects the public interest through its diverse membership of home care agencies, government entities, financial advisors, health care professionals and consumer advocates,” says Barbara Cording, CAHC executive director. “We’re pleased to have trustees with the wealth of information, experience and dedication that our new appointees bring. Consumers can be confident that CAHC accreditation is a ‘seal of approval’, earned only by those agencies that share our commitment to quality and safety.”
