CAHC operates exclusively in New Jersey to accredit home care agencies and is the only
state-based accreditation program.

Founded in 1986, The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) is located in New Providence, New Jersey. CAHC is a nonprofit organization that sets quality Standards for home care services.

We operate exclusively in New Jersey to accredit home care agencies and are the only state-based accreditation program. Therefore, we have in-depth knowledge of New Jersey State legislation, rules, and regulations.

CAHC has ongoing collaborative relations with the New Jersey state Departments of Health and Senior Services, Human Services, and Law and Public Safety.

Our Mission...

CAHC seeks to promote the delivery of high quality home care services to the communities in the State of New Jersey by developing Standards, evaluating the implementation of the Standards, accrediting agencies that are in compliance with these Standards, and providing industry and consumer education.

Our Vision...

To make CAHC accreditation the standard by which New Jersey
home care providers are selected by consumers
