Management & Staff
The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care has an Executive Director whose full-time responsibility is to the Commission. The Board delegates to the Executive Director the authority and autonomy to manage effectively and to implement policies that are developed by the Board of Trustees.
Management and staff handles the day-to-day operations involved in running the Accreditation Programs and works closely with agencies assisting them in all phases of the application and ongoing monitoring processes. They are responsible and encourage an environment of quality and integrity.
Field Surveyors
RN Field Nurse Surveyors conduct audits at the agencies' offices to assess whether the agencies' clinical, personnel, and administrative practices and policies are properly implemented and comply with our Standards.
The RN Field Nurse Surveyors are all NJ Board of Nursing registered professional nurses experienced in home care. Through their training and experience, the RN Field Nurse Surveyors are knowledgeable about the issues that home care agencies face every day.
Both the staff and surveyors assist providers in understanding, achieving, and maintaining compliance with the Standards.
Board of Trustees
The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC) is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. Its membership includes representation reflecting the public interest which consists of home health care, social service, financial, legal, and business professionals.
All decisions regarding the granting or revoking of accreditation are
the ultimate responsibility of the Board. The Board is also responsible for
providing leadership and direction to the Commission on Accreditation
for Home Care. They support the Executive Director and staff, manage
resources effectively, recruit, and orient new Board members.
They ensure legal and ethical behavior and maintain accountability.
