The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care (CAHC), located in New Providence, New Jersey, is a non-profit organization that sets Standards by which home care quality is measured. We were founded in 1986 in order to meet the growing demand for accountability in New Jersey’s rapidly expanding home care industry. We operate, exclusively in New Jersey to accredit home health care providers and are the only state-based accreditation program. Therefore, we have in-depth knowledge of New Jersey State legislation, rules and regulations and have ongoing collaborative relations with the state Departments of Health and Senior Services, Human Services and Law and Public Safety. The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care was the first accrediting body to be recognized by the New Jersey Medicaid program and is currently the largest home care accreditation program in the state.
